When the invitation arrived to join the Mrs. Globe platform and represent Austria as Mrs. Austria Globe, my reaction was very simple: I thought about it. A lot.

Two things showed up at the same time — curiosity and doubt. I wanted to see what this experience could bring, but I was also wondering if it was really for me.

Back then, I had no idea how much would shift afterwards — how many new people I would meet, how many doors would open, and how demanding this road would actually be.

Learning the catwalk. Choosing wardrobe. Preparing my speech. Organizing  appearances and activities. Attending Zoom meetings. All of that while running my company, raising two daughters, and moving through some very serious challenges in my personal life.

Many of those challenges are known in my community, because I speak openly on my blog and to my audience. I believe that if women share what they go through, other women can take lessons, avoid certain situations, or at least feel less alone.

Then came Athens. Twenty-seven countries. A full program. Strong contenders. Winning the title Mrs. European Nations 2025 for Austria was a clear highlight. Austria is the country where I built my family, where my children were born, and where I developed my business. Representing it and bringing home this result gave me wings and solid sense of pride.

To women who think pageants are “silly” or “not serious”: don’t compare one system to another, and don’t mix miss and mrs categories. They have different goals and different energy.

As married women, we don’t go there just to compete. We go to show who we are, to connect, to speak, to wear something beautiful, to step into a public space for a few days and be seen beyond our daily roles. It’s a short, concentrated experience of being a public figure and voicing what matters to us.

I am so proud that the story of the Mrs. pageant in Austria started with me, and I don’t take that lightly.

My director Hannelie Van Wyk believed in me, trusted me, and invited me to carry the Mrs. Austria Globe brand from the very beginning. I’m grateful for that and I want Austrian women to use this platform wisely: to think about what truly matters in their life, to present their personality, their femininity, their personal values — and to gain a sisterhood they would never find by staying inside one country only.

Mrs. Globe is also the official fundraiser for WIN Foundation – Women in Need. That gives everything a deeper meaning. Each participant becomes an ambassador of the foundation and can bring attention in her own community to Reclaiming Me, the program by Dr. Tracy Kemble created for women going through abuse who need structured support and recovery. When you enter this pageant, you don’t just represent yourself; you stand for this cause as well. That changes the whole perspective.

Right now, I am preparing for the next international step: representing Europe and Austria at Mrs. Globe 2026 in the USA. At the same time, I want to speak directly to the women of Austria reading this.
