Sissy Glamocak

I was born in former Yugoslavia, in Bosnia, just before a time of unrest reshaped everything around us. My parents chose courage over comfort and moved to Austria with nothing guaranteed, only a quiet belief that life could be kinder for their children. They started again from zero and, step by step, brought my sister and me to join them.

We often travelled back to our relatives with suitcases full of clothes, food and small essentials, acting as a bridge between two homes.

I grew up where sharing came before owning, where helping felt more natural than having. Compassion instead of possessions. Strength instead of complaints. Gratitude instead of entitlement. These ideas shaped me long before I had words for them.

In Austria, I stayed “the foreign girl” for a long time. Quiet, observant, learning a language that felt sharp at first and moving through a culture that took time to feel like home. Under that silence, one wish grew stronger: to help people feel beautiful and at ease in their own skin, to give them small breaks from worry and pressure. At twenty-one I married, hoping for a warm, steady life. Seven years later I carried a different truth: no one could walk my inner growth for me. I had to make decisions, stand by them and practice backing myself, even when it cost me comfort.

When my twins arrived – two strong characters who are now eleven – my priorities became very clear. They deserved a mother who chose courage and movement instead of staying stuck. I ended the marriage and embraced single motherhood, built a

new rhythm around school runs, work and bedtime stories. In that intense period I remembered my early dream: beauty. Rituals, touch, transformation.

I finished professional beauty training and opened my own business. No network, no ready-made path – just work, discipline and brave decisions when the city slept. My parents crossed borders for a better life, I chose to cross my own limits so my children could see what commitment creates.

Today I stand at the Imperial Beauty & Health Institute in Salzburg, the space I created. It is not just a beauty studio, it is a haven where innovation meets warmth and treatments are delivered with care. With my team, I welcome clients who expect excellence, what we offer goes deeper. Here, people are not “booked in” – they are seen and heard. They walk out lighter, aligned with themselves. Beauty is self-love, inner strength and quiet healing.

A beautiful face means little if the woman in the mirror still feels small, so I work on the glow and the respect she holds.

Alongside my institute, I support women through networks like Alpha Löwin, where we uplift instead of compete. Women are sisters in ambition.

Looking back, I see a woman who turned every charter into growth – rinsing from a young foreign girl to a devoted mother an an unstoppable Entrepreneur, constantly evolving.
