MRS. MALTA GLOBE COMMUNITY

Your true legacy isn’t a title — it’s every life you’ve impacted along the way

EKATERINA CAMILLERI

I’ve come to realise that my real work — beyond media, management, or logistics — is talking people into their power.

I’ve spent most of my life between two worlds. Russia gave me my first dreams. Malta gave me the space to build them. And somewhere between those two — between different languages, cultures, and ways of thinking — I found my rhythm.

My work isn’t confined to one title or job description. It flows across continents and disciplines — from executive planning meetings to last-minute reel edits, from storyboarding magazine covers to mentoring pageant queens about to step onto a world stage. One day I’m directing a shoot in Valletta, the next I’m filming in Moscow, editing video content in a hotel room in China, or writing speeches on Zoom for women representing entire nations. I move between managing international pageant franchises, editing and publishing Woman Star World, producing personal brand campaigns, handling photography and videography, coordinating social media strategies, and building partnerships with ministries and embassies. It’s a full plate — but it’s my own recipe.

And through it all, the Mrs. Globe platform has been a constant source of meaning. My gratitude goes to Dr. Tracy Kemble — not just for founding a system that empowers women, but for building a space where we can connect beyond borders, titles, and roles. I’ve had the honour of watching so many women step into their strength, and I’ve come to realise that my real work — beyond media, management, or logistics — is this: talking people into their power.

I’ve seen what happens when a woman is truly seen. When her voice is heard. When her story is told with integrity and care. That moment — when her eyes shift, her shoulders rise, and she recognises her own worth — that’s everything.

So yes, I live in two worlds. I speak in many roles. But my message is always the same: your story matters, and I’m here to help you tell it.

So, in this issue, you’ll read about women with crowns, titles, and transformative stories — and maybe you’ll wonder if it’s all too good to be true. I get it. Pageantry often gets a bad name, and not without reason. It all depends on what system you enter, the kind of mentorship you receive, and how your journey is guided.

At Woman Star World, we’ve built a different kind of experience — one rooted in connection, clarity, and authenticity. Some of the women in these pages have been managed by us, others by different systems — but the thread that unites them is growth. Confidence. Visibility. A sense of stepping into more of who they already are.

Holding the title of Mrs. Curvé Globe was never about validation, it was about expanding the space for women like me, and for those coming after. It’s one more chapter in a life dedicated to showing what’s possible when women are seen, supported, and given the right platform.

This issue also highlights women who have nothing to do with crowns — artists, doctors, tv stars, designers, founders, creatives, leaders — women who shine in their own arenas. That’s what makes Woman Star World so dynamic: we show womanhood from all angles, with and without a title.

HANNELIE VAN WYK

Sure, I could tell you about the events I attended, the photoshoots, the interviews, the spotlight…

There’s more than enough footage on Instagram to show the glamorous side of pageantry. I could list every milestone, every shining moment. But that’s not the story I want to tell.

What I truly want to leave behind is something deeper — not a timeline of where I’ve been, but a reflection of who I’ve become. Because behind every crown lies a journey: a private path filled with doubts, emotions, victories, and transformation.

There was a moment, quiet and real, when I asked myself: Should I even do this? A pageant queen… me?

The unknown stirred insecurity I hadn’t faced in years. And yet, I stepped forward — into fear, into judgment, into a dazzling light I didn’t think I deserved. I questioned whether I was enough, whether I belonged. But something inside me ignited — not loud, but strong. A quiet determination that said, Prove it to yourself. You do belong.

When the crown was placed on my head, it wasn’t just a symbol — it was a weight, a responsibility. I wore it with honor, because I understood it wasn’t just about me. It was a calling.

Over time, I began to change. The noise quieted. I became more grounded, more certain, more connected to the woman beneath the title. Gratitude grew in me — not just for the victory, but for every difficult step it took to get there. The crown became a bridge — leading me to new people, new projects, and a purpose bigger than I had ever imagined.

But the most powerful part of this journey wasn’t the title. It was the example I set. For my son. For the next generation. By choosing to love myself, by standing in my own worth, I showed him something that took me years to learn — that self-love isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.

And maybe, just maybe, every time we live our truth, we free someone who never got the chance to live theirs…

To the next Queen: walk your path with courage, love, and truth. The crown is only the beginning.Mrs. Globe changes lives!

LANA BOWDEN

After winning Mrs. European Nations 2024, Lana Bowden advanced to the Mrs. Globe World Finals 2025 in Shenzhen, China, representing Malta and Europe among 75 accomplished women.

Competing against highly prepared contestants with strong national backing, Lana secured a Top 5 placement. Her achievement placed Malta firmly on the global pageant map and earned international media attention, country pride and admiration.

Mrs. Malta Globe community is proud to unite Maltese women under a platform where pageantry becomes more than an event — it becomes a space of connection, growth, and shared strength.

Each Queen who passes on her crown passes along something deeper: encouragement, wisdom, and belief in the woman who follows.

As Maria Camilleri prepares to represent Malta at the Mrs. European Nations Classique 2025 in Greece this October, former titleholder Lana Bowden shared a personal message:

“I remember my own moment — the rush of pride, the thrill of hearing Malta’s name on that stage. But what stayed with me most wasn’t the crown. It was the learning, the friendships, and the chance to show up as myself. Maria, I know you’ll do this your way — with elegance, courage, and authenticity. I’m here for you, always.”

This is the spirit of Mrs. Malta Globe — one Queen lighting the path for the next!
